ChinaWhat to charge for unlimited usage ad campaign in web and print ?
Hello everyone, first thank you for creating such a wonderful community!
I am working as photographer for last 10+ years. After folio review ad agency asked me if I'm up for - a star promoting product shoot. They want to know ball park, buy-out cost for 5 images. I know there is no such term "ball park" and I guess they want unlimited advertising for 2 years, web and print media. Shoot is in 2-3 different styles .
Questions:
1. What will be per image license fees, creative and post- processing (raw processing) cost?
2. Should I include editing-touch up cost in post-processing?
3. Is 50 grands appropriate, if not what is best way to raise it & explain?
4. Totally appreciated if someone could shed some light on what one must put in estimate, term and condition and contract wording.

I'm learning tons of things about how it all actually work. It all started in 3rd year of applied art school, then working in photography field where you can make money but less room for creativity. After some time I left all that behind and moved to alien land in search of inner voice. Now that I have work which is catching attention of art buyers, time to focus on business aspect of vision. I initially thought I was the only one they are in process of hiring creative but that's not the case.
Here is my take on the Association of Photographer’s BUR pricing system - and how it works.
Which may be of some value to you, when it comes to negotiating the fee - for the use of your images - which they are asking you to produce first - and then provide them with - so as they can use them to meet their needs.
Here is development -
Creative dpt. sent me an email that client will be using their own photographer. When I asked what was the reason. They said that client got their local agency to engage the photographer.
I don't know what to believe. Overall it was positive thing that agency asked my portfolio for review and after month they start to ask if I'm available.
Bottom line is don't wait for art-buyer to call you, find them instead.
