United States8 Images for privately owned hotel - how do I charge? What questions do I need to ask?
This is my first post on Shakodo, as well as my first professionally requested estimate for commercial work. I'm a wedding and portrait photographer, but I've done commercial work for businesses I've known in the past year as a portfolio building stage in commercial work - but these are my main road blocks:
I don't understand the different between licensing, and usage rights. I don't know what terms to set for this estimate, contract, usage rights, etc.
Any information you can help me with would be great appreciated. They did not specify what media usage they would need - where it would be published - do I need to specify licensing, and ask years needed?
The client is a small privately owned hotel besides a high end golf course, they specified 8 specific shots that they need.
Thank you in advance!
And to add to Ric's excellent comment, there have also been similar posts on shakodo that deal with this subject and how to calculate the costs. Have you taken a look at any of these?http://www.shakodo.com/assignments/1t0/could-you-help-me-estimate-an-architectural-photography-project/http://www.shakodo.com/assignments/1ct/how-much-to-charge-for-13-15-images-of-a-mid-level-hotel/http://www.shakodo.com/assignments/1c8/ive-been-asked-to-photograph-a-restaurant-and-the-images-will-be-used-on-the-restaurants-website-how/http://www.shakodo.com/assignments/1rj/how-much-should-i-charge-for-architectural-photos-to-be-used-on-a-website/
