Canadaimages for a fleet of (Cdn.) trucks?
I've got a large construction company that wants a series of images for their fleet of vans/trucks etc. The company is big, getting bigger and most importantly starting to work internationally.
Up here in Canada, where copyright is a tad different, there are many photogs who would quote this job based only on the cost of the shoot....and not on how much the image is WORTH. Also, I know i'm up against stock images....
Keeping in mind, the fact that I'd love to be their guy on retainer, how would you price this out?
I have no idea of the size of fleet yet..but lets say they have 50 cube trucks....
I would bid in the area of $3,500 (US, I don't know the Canadian equivalent), per image plus your expenses. The real challenge for you is to convince them to go with you. That is a steep price that can easily be overcome by using a royalty free image off the web.
You do this by making a proposal of using very unique images that only you can provide. One that cannot be conveyed with stock images. Also, this would be usage for one year so come up with a discounted price for additional years.
