United Statespricing for recipe photos?
How will the images be used? I would need a lot more information before I was able to quote the project. The three days will be covered by my creative fee then I'd add a licensing fee and adjust for the period of their license.
My apologies for posting an incoherent comment. I meant to say that the client would only provide the licensing information that I described in paragraph two of my original post.
I'm guessing that they are trying to have you commit to a price based upon lack of information or your desperation to book something. Doesn't the phrase go, "good things to those who wait?". I would get all the information and not quote anything till they provide it. Otherwise they can check with the bottom feeders on craigslist.
I'm an experienced food shooter who has been included in an RFP from an agency outside of my local market. I was asked, by a San Francisco agency, to bid on a project consisting of 15 propped and styled recipe photos to be done over 3 days of shooting. The agency is providing the stylist, so I don't need to include stylist fees in my bid. The client is a food processing cooperative with annual sales of $295,000,000.
I was told these recipe photos would be used initially for the client's web site and in brochures, but the client wanted unlimited, exclusive licensing with no media or time limits.
I would be renting a studio in San Francisco that would cost me $450 per day.
Any suggestions on how to price this?
Thank you!
