PostingAdvice: Licensing an Image for use in an App
Hi all,
I got an email via FlickrMail the other day from someone from a small shop that is making an ad. They would like to use an photo I shot of Stevie Wonder during an event at the Apollo Theater here in NYC and have offered me a photo credit and a link back to my portfolio as compensation. I don't know if it matters, but I shot the image from the audience, not as a paid photographer during the event.
Anyway, I'd like to get you guys' input on how I should respond to their request. I'd love to get at least some financial compensation for my what I think is a fairly decent shot. On the other hand, being that the subject is a celebrity, are there rules as far as me being able to sell their image? What questions should I ask in my reply about how the image is being used? Any advice would be gladly appreciated.

This question is a bit too hidden here in the "Community" section, you better ask it again in the "Licensing" section. On the top right you can see the main difference between the forums inside the "About this Forum" box.
