CanadaHow much for small band's album artwork?
Jack, I just went through the exact same thing myself.... have received a lot of great advice here on Shakodo. I did two album covers, one small up and coming band, one better known solo artist. I shot front, back and inside covers, and used BlinkBid for my Invoice. I ended up offering a 5 year deal for the small indie record label, and they got a really good deal, but not nearly as good as they would have had I never known about this site which really bolstered my negotiation confidence.

I do a lot of entertainment photography, and I've recently been asked to shoot a small bands album artwork. The band is up and coming, but currently still in the "Small" classification, and they have a lot of potential for great succes. So my question is, how much should I charge for album artwork shoots like this (would also include images in the foldout and back of the cd case) and how would I structure the license? What is the proper procedure?
