I hail from the cold snowy regions of the Midwest - Wisconsin to be exact. Since I was very young I had always shown an interest in art of every kind, and I took art and painting classes all through high school.
When I was 11 or so, I got my first 35mm camera and fell in love. I shot everything from landscapes to my friends to action figures. This was sort of a boon to my mother though, as she was the one paying for the development of my film. Fast forward to 2003, I was 16 and some friends had been paying attention to my photography. They hired me to shoot their wedding, my very first gig. After that I shot a variety of things, senior photos, portraits, weddings. I learned quickly that those jobs were not the kind of work I wanted to do. I had a large archive of landscape, abstract and fine art photographs, so I started to look in to galleries. I made friends with local artists as fast as I could and before I knew it I had an exhibition in a major space. From there I worked my way through the fine art circuit (It was pretty small) before I decided I wanted to take things to the next level. I applied for school in San Francisco and got in. I had a month long solo exhibition in early 2008, and then hopped on a plane to go and study.
Today I focus on school, but I am blessed with the ability to multitask. Some clients include:
-The Auckland Youth Orchestra
-Dark Garden Custom Corsetry
-Paul's Hat Works
-Southern Lord Records
